Actually I wanted to watch becuz the female actress, which previously acted in this 167 episodes drama 'Pure 19', kinda caught my attention the previous time. She's not pretty or what arz, but I find that her acting skills are quite good, and I'm not surprised that the character she acted in are rather similar. Again, she acted as some poor young lady in which some rich man has fallen for her. As usual, the rich guy's parents oppose and blah blah... Kinda expected storylines that you can get from such romance drama, but most importantly, I enjoyed the "process" where I can sleep 8 hrs, sit in front of comp to watch 15 hrs, and 1 hr is for miscellaneous such as meals or bath or whaever in a single day of 24hrs, repeating it for a few days.
Strangely, I used to complain abt how sucky korean drama can be, about how soapy they are and the women in almost EVERY drama can cry majiam it's the end of world. I still remember my sec3 and 4 form teacher said that majiam Korean ladies have a water tap inside their eyes, so that whenever they are required to cry, they can just 'on' this tap and tears can flow non-stop out of their eyes. Ehz... as of now, I believe everything is still the same? Korean woman are forever so fierce and always fighting and shouting like there's no law. There's always SO MANY slapping scenes. (It's kinda scary if most Singaporean women are like that) Okie lar, perhaps I have kinda accepted the fact that this is the style of korean dramas, and as long the story plot is something nice, I believe nothing else matters. On the other hand, typical Japanese drama are like maximum 10 or 11 episodes, and I kinda feel it's DEMN SHORT!? No wonder one can easily finish one jap drama a day. I dont really have much impression of Japanese drama in my mind arz, although they are good for their anime (like obviously).
And I have no comments about HK and Taiwan dramas.
12 days from now will be the end of my exam, and I shall conquer another Korean drama!

As everyone knows, there's been quite "abit" of increase in the no. of H1N1 infection in Japan. Whatever it is, I think it shouldn't be that "exaggerating" as most news or people have put it. After all, "The government has urged calm and reminded people that no one in Japan has so far died of the disease and that most infections are mild." So seriously, I dont think it's gonna affect much, unless you're going Osaka or Kobe? Going to Tokyo shld be okie, since there wasn't much news abt the virus taking place in Tokyo. But as experts have predicted, it's sooner or later that the 36 million populated city will be affected to a "large scale".
Bottom line is, regardless how many people are infected, I will definitely be going Tokyo end of July. UNLESS either S'pore or Japan decides to impose new rules against going there, then suck thumb arz. So okie, I seriously just hope this stupid swine flu can stop spreading to make less people paranoid abt this infection.

Didn't do well for OB (as usual) and hence, I'm now in a dilemma whether shld I S/U my HP807 module. That module is similar to OB in terms of content wise, but the exam format is defintely very diffierent cuz it will ask more direct ques like "What is MARS model (15 marks)" or smth like "What are the big5 personality dimensions (10 marks)". Obviously that's y this exam will be a closed book exam, unlike OB which is open-book. AND AT LEAST IT DOESN'T HAVE STUPID CASE SCENARIOS LIKE OB, so there isn't much working of the brain that u need for this HP807 exam. The lecturer was even kind enough to tell us specifically the ques that he's gonna ask us....-_-''' So that makes me even more tempted not to S/U, becuz all I need to do is to memorise all the model answer and vomit them all out in the exam. (Sounds like typical bio exam paper)
One side of me says I shld S/U since I screw up OB kinda badly. Another side tells me this exam will be different from OB, and all I need is to vomit the model ans out, everything will be fine. Owellz, after much consideration, I guess I won't S/U this module, neither the astro paper.
Full blast of mugging for the next 2 weeks till exam ends!!!

Astronomy on the other hand was rather neglected becuz there wasn't any assignment or what and the quiz is 2 weeks from now. But I felt kinda disgusted becuz aside from learning planets thingyi, I'm learning things that are taught in A-level physics. And I seriously respect my friends who still can remember physics stuff although it's like... 3+ years ago since we touched it, and yet they seem to be able to recap majiam they juz did A-levels yesterday. Even things like angular momentum or E = mc^2 seem alien to me now.
I guess it's the "holiday mood" that make me kinda reluctant to study. Afterall, I barely have one week of rest after exam when special term starts. So if this continues, I can almost say I've studied "non-stop" from January to November for this whole of year 2009 (assuming that one week rest is negligible)
And saying all these, I'm really really tempted to S/U one of these electives, but on the other hand I felt kinda stupid that I pay $500 for one module to S/U. Haiz, I guess I shall leave it to next Friday when I get back my result. If it's still "okay", then I think I will S/U one of it becuz I can concentrate better on the other. If my results are disgusting (high probability), I shall not S/U any module and start to MUG my life off to do well for these 2 electives. Cross-fingers for next Friday.
And becuz it's the end of the academic year, I have to start learning to take over my "upper-study" in my CCA. During some rally 2 months ago, I was appointed the coordinator for my CCA (Welfare Service Club - Boys Home). And next week is the first main comm meeting I'm having, owellz, must start learning the ropes from my upper-study, if not when sch starts and there's CCA recruitment week, I will be dead if I can't do a good job for it. But guess it's still rather early to plan for the CCA recruitment thingyi now. Hope I'll be able to work well with all the other block heads of Boys Home, as well as Girl's home. (and I still don't know ALOT of people in my CCA, and I cant seem to know everyone's names well enough) Abit doubtful whether I can lead well enough. Haiz, just hope the seniors can "help help abit" and close one eye if I make any mistakes in future.

And although exams officially ended on Tuesday, there isn't much time for me to rest. School is starting next week! Ogosh, abit sianz, BUT NVM, studying electives is at least not as shit as studying core modules where there's so many rubbish projects to be done. So the 3 modules I'm taking are:
EE8086 ASTRONOMY - STARS, GALAXIES AND COSMOLOGY
HP807 PSYCHOLOGY OF CAREER DEVELOPMENT
GN02 ECO-ARCHITECTURE IN THE URBAN LIVING ENVIRONMENT
So can clear a total of 9 AUs also not bad lar. I think better then working part time, if I can grad one sem earlier. So for the next 3 sem, I will need to take 4 core and 1 elective each and I will be able to GET OUT of NTU by end of next yr. Arz!!! Really looking forward to it! Although this will mean that the moment I finish my exam in late july, I'll have juz 2 weeks of rest and sch gonna start again. But nvm, it's okie. I JUST WANT TO GET OUT OF NTU ASAP!??!!!??
HP807 is almost 70% similar to OB while I was looking at the course outlines and lect notes for next week. Studying things like emotions, attitudes, personality, values, job-matching, MBIT, MARS model and alot alot very "familiar" things that I studied during the useless OB lessons. Dont know shld I feel happy becuz it's smth I study b4 (so got a little bit of advantage) or to hate it cuz it's OB stuff!? All right, I shall study this module and try to love it. AT LEAST THIS 1 DON'T HAVE 3500 words report can liaoz.
Thursday, April 16, 2009
And clearly I have NO UNDERSTANDING OF WHAT I AM WRITING>. Farking DEAD for OB. And I left some parts here and there BLANK becuz I really got no time to finish. Argz, stupid module. But good news is I'm NEVER EVER gonna touch tt @#$%^&* module again!!!

I think I know why.
Like Darrell said, last sem is ONE exam per week. Now is ALL exams in one week. Fantastic. I looked at the past yr papers n I donno how to do. ARGZ!!! DYING from studying stats. I HOPE NEVER EVER EVER EVER to touch stats in my life again.

As usual, I skipped OB seminar this week (which is supposed to be the last lesson), then my groupmate sms us our project grade. Wah kaoz, abit cui leh. I think becuz of me lar, I think the other 3 ppl always seem to contribute alot but I dont really bother to improve on my part. And I really think my OB overall grade this time round will be cui arz.
Compared to last sem where I have one open-book exam (Biz Law), I have 2 open book exams (Stats and OB) this sem.. So it appears to be "slightly better", BUT STILL, the exam dates are like shit. 3 core papers consecutively. Ogosh, and I'm really demn scared I will not have enough time to prepare for all....
AND I'M SO GONNA MUG LIKE HELL THIS TIME!!!!!! NO WATCHING TV. NO COMING ONLINE TO MSN OR FACEBOOK (except to check NTU email and edventure for updates). Today shall be the LAST TIME I SLACK!!!!!!
STUDY STUDY STUDY STUDY!!!! I wan to study!I love econs, accting, OB, stats. And of cuz biochem!!!!

End of projects
And what's left now is intensive mugging for exams. And did I say I hate KEYNESIAN MODEL or donno watever shit u call tt. Microeconomics give ppl the wrong idea that econs seem "understandable", until after the recess week, when it's all Macroeconomics then I realise how shit econs can be.
Owellz, time to MUG very hard for this sem. Pls give me at least one blardy A- for this semester pls. I know all my classmates only aim for A or A+ (even A- seems abit cui for them) and here I am struggling to aim for A-. Haiz, life can be demoralising when u know u r just so cui compared to the majority of the ppl around u.

OB sucks
Many people always say OB is just COMMON SENSE and no need to study much 1. Kaoz, obviously not people have "common sense" to understand OB, and I happen to be one of them.
Seriously, stats/econs/acctounting is 1000000000 times easier than OB, as far as I can see from the results of the various tests I got back this week.... At the start of the sem, I was thinking maybe I can perhaps get one blardy 'A-' for OB becuz initially many ppl said it's easy. I think if I can even get B for OB is already MIRACLE.
OB sucks! Thank goodness I'm not business student, if I kana stream into Human Resource Consulting, I'll probably go knock wall liaoz.....

On a side note, special term modules are already out. And while I was looking at them, think some of the modules are quite okay arz. So I guess if time-table doesn't clash, I will want to register 4 modules of electives and that will be 12AUs in total. And if I clear 2 more electives in each of my yr2 sem1 and sem2, I'll be left with 16 AUs by the time I start sch in yr3!! Okay, and obviously I want to clear all of that during that sem and I REALLY REALLY hope I can GET OUT of NBS by Dec 2010 (tt's like end of next yr).
Some of my classmates were talking abt working during the 3 months holiday, and sumhow I ended up sharing this with some of my classmates. A few were saying y am I "rushing" my time-table!? Trying to complete within 2.5 yrs. 3 yrs is already very slack, let alone 2.5 yrs. Then others also said u r supposed to enjoy your "uni life" instead and not juz cramping until u miss out all the happening stuff in sch. Owellz, so I told them my frank feelings:
Regardless whether I study 3 yrs or 2.5 yrs, I don't think I will ever miss my time in NBS. So forget it, I don't really have much favorable memories in tt place anyway. Okay lar, some of my classmates are really nice people. Other than that the environment sucks. Hence, my aim is not because I want to go work earlier or whatever shit. I juz want to GET OUT that @%^& sch ASAP. Secondly, I don't feel proud to be a student of that sch. In the past, I used to scold my classmates who wear NBS t-shirt for lessons, walking around with those disgusting t-shirts. Okay, I only wear it for sleep becuz it's FREE, and other than that, I really find that t-shirt disgusting to the max.
All right, enough of grumbling. Time to continue studying more stats.

Good bye Chief
Up to now, I really can't accept the fact that she just passed away like that... According to those who r still in branch, she was still working on Fri and then on Fri night itself, this unfortunate thing had to take place. Nobody could believe things just had to happen this way, she was really a well-liked warrent officer by many people, especially those who had worked under her. I could still remember the days when she always joked with us, then outside of camps treat us to meals sometimes, and most importantly is that she treats everyone very well!! Sometimes gossiping with us how some XXX officer is so sucks, or how she kana arrow the work from S1, and blah blah... She was really a forgiving person, I remembered that my old CO used to hammer her alot, in the sense of giving her alot of troubles by keep scolding her. Although she was very pissed off, she said that she won't hold any hatred becuz she believes that there's no point in having a grudge for that. And she believed God is watching over everything that is happening.
I couldn't control my emotions at the burial ceremony juz now when they were saying the last prayer for her and were about to cover her body with the last bit of sand. Everyone just felt so emotional at that point of time.
The last time I saw her her was during my ORD day when I got back my pink IC. After I ORD, I was still chatting with my friends in MSN that one day must go back 4SIR to find her and give her a surprise visit! And she was even telling us camp very sianz, next time meet outside better... HAIZ, and I really can't understand why things have to turn out this way in seeing her for one last time.

OB test sucks
At the moment, I realised I am totally lost in statistics and accounting, and I don't know why everyone seems to understand those "accounting jargons" yet I am the only one who seem to be alien to those terms. All right, I shall devote 90% of my RECESS next week to study stats and accounting before I'm lost in further shit.
I love school. I love NBS.

Today I had a shock of my life when I found out in my accounting project grp, all my 4 grp-members are going for INSTEP/GIP (student exchange) next semester. Initially we were just discussing accounting project when suddenly one guy kinda "screamed" in excitement "OMG!! I GOT INTO INSTEP!!" And without much delay, the other 3 also checked their approval online and all 4 of them were approved to study overseas next year. It's kinda obvious that with GPA of 4.75 and 4.5 etc, there's no doubt they got approved.
Anyway, they will be going to Canada/USA and they were seriously SO HAPPY arz. Being kaypo, I asked them whether are they on scholarship and how much it cost. Surprisingly, none of them were on scholarship (despite this Godly result) and they said they will be using their own money to pay for this student exchange. According to them, the expense to go on exchange in North America is like $10,000 (but one guy said he has a senior who went Canada and if you spend carefully, it's possible to spend only $7,000....)
Okie, at that moment I seriously felt so farking JEALOUS of them. No lar, maybe i shld say I'm envy of them. Then 4 of them started to turn their attention on me, asking me to try going INSTEP as well. Telling me all the FUN stuff abt exchange, saying it's "once in a lifetime", can learn alot things, blah blah. Okie lar, I know they were too excited and so they were sharing with me this good news. But obviously they didn't know how disgusting my GPA was last sem, so I juz replied I didn't really know much abt this student exchange thing and so I didn't apply(which is obviously a big fat lie).
Fine, so they will all be enjoying their life in USA/Canada. And I'm stuck here in this shit place which I really can't wait to get out. Na-Beh Sch sucks big time.

Owellz, starting to get busy with projects, especially OB CASE STUDY PRESENTATION next week for my grp. I really donno if the professors are trying to "stretch" our limit by making us apply concepts that are FROM OTHER CHAPTERS of the TB.
Seriously, if it's like towards the end of the semester, then I think it's still okay cuz I think by then most of the chaps in the TB are covered, and it will be easier to apply since we have the knowledge. BUT NOW!? My knowledge of OB can be said to be as close as not knowing anything. I only have 3 lessons thus far and that's only 4 chaps covered. And hence, alot of time commitment has to be made reading the WHOLE TB on our own to apply OB concepts (most which are not yet taught) is like SO @#$%^&*. Haiz, spent alot of time reading the entire OB text and I think my grp is just applying concepts which we think can be "relevant" to our case study. Most groups that are presenting after recess week definitely has much advantage... Owellz, suck thumb, at least being the 1st grp to present means being able to get it over and done with so that life will be slightly less taxing, since the OB and accounting written reports are only due after recess week....
Having mentioned that I have totally brand new classmates for all modules this sem, I can say that it kinda exposed me to more "variety" of people. Lolx. But I seriously think that this sem I'm quite lucky to get very pro classmates to do project with. Okay lar, not that my last sem classmates are not good, but I think my project-mates this sem are really very good in doing projects, with one guy even getting A+ for 3 modules' projects (and his GPA of 4.75) make me nearly want to worship him. Wah laoz, last sem my projects are so screwed, especially that disgusting FM project which I got B- really makes me sianz 1/2. Owellz, hope that my project grades can be BETTER this sem...

Sem2 time-table! (Part 2)
Issue #1: I think 3 tutorial slots on Tuesday is killer, especially when the tutorials always need u to bring ur TB cuz the tutorial questions are all from there and the tutors are so lazy to even scan the ques into for us to print. Owellz, bottom line is bringing 3 thick TB to sch on every Tues seems quite tedious.
Issue #2: Despite endless battles in "STARS war", I still ended up with 5 days. That sucks, especially when I don't stay in hall. So I believe it could have been better if I can change my 4 hrs OB seminar to THURS instead of FRI. Apparantly it seems that all the Biz students are given Thurs OB slots; Accting students the Fri OB slots, so I felt rather helpless as I didn't have tt many business friends who r in the same grp as me to "trade" with me.
2 days ago, I managed to find a AB103(statistics) vacancy on MONDAY afternoon. That sounds great because I can shift my Tues stats lesson to that of Monday. Owellz, so I'm basically "free" on Tues 830am to 10am liaoz. Issue #1 solved.
And then LAST NIGHT (STARS operate from 10am to 10pm only), when I came back from CCA and was so tired but decided to check out the slots in STARS planner, realised that there's TWO empty vacancies for Thurs! OMG, obviously I was so happy because for the PAST ONE WEEK, i realised that Fri slots are ABUNDANT and Thurs slots are so scarce (everyone hates lesson on Fri).. But it was already like 11+pm, and I told myself that next day morning at 10am (which is just now), I BETTER CLICK FAST FAST FAST so that I can get a Thurs slot. This time I cannot afford screw it up liaoz!! And thankfully, I GOT THE THURS SLOT!! Piangz, the feeling of being able to change from 5 days week to 4 days week... Is like winning a small lottery? Wahahz, okie lar, but I'm sure a very happy guy now in my so-called "perfect" time-table.

I donno y my file cannot be clicked. So Wednesday remains a very slack day with 3hrs lect in the afternoon. And Thurs will be a very long day from 830am until I have 2 hrs lect in afternoon and later CCA at boys home from 8pm to 9pm, reaching back home at almost close to 11pm. But it's okay, since Fri is FREE-DAY!!
And on a side-note, I realised that I really really have alot to catch-up on my elective because I realised I 4get so much thing that I don't even know whether hydrolysis is use water to form smth or smth to form water. -_-''' I need help in CBC122 "Biological Chem 2".

Sem2 time-table!

And then I keep changing my time-table until I didn't know what I was doing. I think I changed at least 3 times for each of my AA102, AB106 and AB103. And I decided to drop the stupid MP8082 and to take CBC122. Owellz, don't care already, since my time-table is already so shitty, so I might as well take things into my own hand.
And my time-table after STARS-war:

I know Tuesday is super shitty cuz there's like 9 hrs lesson. But luckily 3 hrs out of these 9 hrs are alternate weeks tt kind, so still not tt bad. And basically all my tutorial classes change except my AB105 seminar which is on Friday remains the "same as initial". HAIZ, can some good-hearted ppl give me AB105 on Wednesday or Thursday morning!!!!????
But still, I didn't manage to get any class to be the same as my sem1 classmates. OWELLZ, which is to say I will still be a loner w/o knowing anyone...............#$%^& . SIANZ.
And on a side-note, I really regret why I go throw away my A-levels chem and bio notes!!! ARGZ, I'm taking a module "Biological chem...." HAIZ, must learn from scratch again.
Monday, December 15, 2008
I'm finally done with elective course registration, and although it's just to select ONE elective, but I just put 10 choices. Only 2 modules out of the 10 have vacancy > waitlist, so okie arz, the other 8 choices can say is put for show only. And the sucky part is having to look at which course has the LEAST waitlist, whether exam easy, whether got clash etc etc. Waste alot of time indeed.
And last Fri went back for some stupid reservice talk at Mandai Hill Camp. Apparantly it has been confirmed that the very first actual "call-back" will be 2009 Dec, that mens must bring alot of shit back to camp and stay for a few days. Okay lar, not tt bad, as long don't touch me during the 3 months holiday from May to July can liaoz. And by the time it's Dec 2009 I will have completed "50%" of my 3 yrs in na-beh sch.
And for some reason, I realised that apparantly there's really NOTHING much I can do to change my disgusting time-table. Haiz. So be it, if cannot change then juz have to stick with it. 14 weeks, haiz, it's neither long nor short. Really hope in my totally "new classes" can have nice classmates to COPY tutorials and DO projects with.

SPEED IS BACK!!!!!!
On 23th September, official statement was made on Speed management company that they will be back officially and permanently, and also a new single was announced to be release on 12th November 2008 titled Ashita no Sora (あしたの空, Ashita no Sora?) (Sky of Tomorrow). This single is set once again to be produce by their long time producer Hiromasa Ijichi. This is SPEED's 15th Single and also their first single in five years. This will be Speed first single to have two version, CD-only & CD+DVD. It will be the theme song to drama "OL Nippon".
OMG!!! I'm so dame happy!! Seriously, ever since they disbanded in 2000, I think ALOT ppl r demn sad lar. But then now that they r back, then I think many of SPEED's fans will be happy as well. Lolx, so looking forward to more songs from them.
