So for some who know, ya, I'm going for my lasik surgery or I mean I went for it juz now. Everything happened so fast yesterday and today.
Yesterday, I basically underwent a battery of eye tests which include shining white light, green light, red light, and I donno what other kinds of kind. And likewise, my eyes were given solution that can make my eyes numb and and then soulution that can dilate the pupils and some that can reverse the process of dilation. In short make my eyes look so blur only.
I spoke to the doctor in the end, and he had no issue doing a surgery for me as my eyes basically met ALL the requirements for the surgery.
So today morning was the "Grand Finale" as I made myself down to the Clinic. I was slightly nervous when I was made to wear the operation suit. And I was quite nervous when my turn came and I was being led into the operation room. However, I think everything ended so fast than what I thought it's gonna take. The Doc basically tried to keep me distracted and keep encouraging to not make my imagination run wild.
Actually I also donno really know what happened. I mean ya, u ppl can easily go to any LASIK website to read the operating procedure, and mine is basically the same. I simply HATE the part when he use this suction ring to put on my eye before cutting off my cornea partially. And straight after that, he added some donno wat solution which basically cause me to BLACK-OUT for like 10 seconds before I could physically see him "lift" off my cornea. And suddenly the whole room turns dark and I only saw one red blinking light. Nah, that's not the laser, but juz smth to keep u focus on. Then I was made to keep my eyes to CONCENTRATE looking at that red blink light and I could hear some "screeching" metal sound n I could SMELL burning.. Wah kaoz, but like I said, all these are common so there's nth to be scared of what u smell/hear. And before I knew it, the Doc basically flip my cornea back and took out tt suction ring (ouch!)
And he repeats the same old thing for my left eye and basically the whole operation took me abt 15 minutes as I looked at my watch. That's real fast.
So soon after I had both eye shields up covering my eyes and I was discharged immediately from there, which I reach there at 93oam and left there at 1100am, which was way earlier than what I had expected.... Tomorrow Sunday morning still must go back for a 24 hr-after-op-review, which the Doc will check my eye power and to see if there's any complications on it.
So as I was typing out this entry, I was without my glasses nor contact lens. And I could see relatively well even though I try to sit as backwards as possible.
Phew, I think I already recovered abt 80% or more of my eyesight liaoz.
